The Permanent UTV bill is now being circulated among Wisconsin State Lawmakers for co-sponsors. If you have state lawmaker contacts/relationships, now is the time to contact them. Please ask them to either co-sponsor the UTV bill, (we have two identical bills, one in the state assembly, the other in the state senate) or at the very least support it as it moves through the legislative process in public hearings and then on the floor of each house.
Thank you for your help.

Congratulations to Gary Koel, member of the Birchwood Bobcat Sledders Club, for becoming AWSC's "2011 Snowmobiler of the year". He was honored at the AWSC's directors meeting on November 5th in Stevens Point with a plaque for a well deserved award. Way to go Gary!!

It is that time of the year again when everyone needs to go out to www.treadyawards.com and cast your vote for your favorite: Trail System, Restaurant, Special Event, Lodging and Dealership. Last year Northwestern Wisconsin swept the State, taking all five categories, with Sawyer County claiming stake to the best trail system and the best dealership, Hayward Power Sports. Bayfield County won when it came to Lodging, Restaurant and Special Event.

The Wisconsin ATV Association is asking for letters from clubs, businesses, chambers, etc... indicating your support of the permanent UTV bill. Recently the UTV resolution proposed to the Governor's State Trails Council passed! This is great news. But to make this permanent, your support is still needed. Please take the time to write up a letter of support! For more information regarding the UTV proposal, pleas go to http://dnr.wi.gov/org/caer/cfa/grants/forms/utvpamph.pdf.
