Dealer of the Year – Hayward Power Sports
Originally from Minneapolis, Bryon and Wendy Schroeder purchased a cabin in Sawyer County during the 1980’s so they could enjoy their summers and winters in Wisconsin. In 1996 they purchased a resort and made the move to Sawyer County. In December of 1999 they purchased a Polaris dealership, which eventually became Hayward Power Sports and is one of the largest dealerships in northern Wisconsin. In 2009 they received the Ski-Doo District Dealer of the year award along with being the top Polaris dealer. Bryon and Wendy generously donate the use of their snowmobiles for DNR safety classes, transport and rescue snowmobiles for the Birkie Cross country ski race, provide donated snowmobiles and ATV’s for promotional rides, trail work, and event activities. In addition, Hayward Power Sports also provides a storage area for trail signs he orders for all for the Sawyer County Alliance trails – approximately $3,000 each year. The dealership also provided current snowmobile conditions to the area Chambers. Under Bryon’s leadership for the past 11 years, the Sawyer County Snowmobile/ATV Alliance (SCSAA) has grown into one of the most successful and largest snowmobile organizations. In addition to being a dealer, Bryon and Wendy take an active role in promoting snowmobiling and assisting with trail maintenance. Bryon is a trail captain and is responsible for the operation of a tracked groomer, ensuring his 75 miles of trails are well maintained. Congratulations Bryon and Wendy!! |
